Version 2.5.0 is a major leap in how forecasting works. Until now, probabilistic release dates relied purely on raw historical throughput. With Capacity-Aware Planning, the Monte Carlo engine now understands real-world team constraints — discounting predictions based on who is actually working, scheduled time off, and work already in flight.
What's new
Intelligent, capacity-aware forecasting
Real-world adjustments: the forecast target shifts to reflect actual team capacity, current assignments, and outside commitments.
Smarter WIP modeling: WIP is treated as a one-time delay rather than a perpetual throughput penalty, tightening accuracy.
Responsive throughput window: throughput is measured over the last 4 active weeks (anchored to the most recently completed issue), so trailing dead weeks don't drag the forecast down.
Opt-in: Capacity Awareness toggles on or off per project.
Team-centric capacity modeling
Named-member teams assigned directly to products.
Absence tracking for PTO, headcount changes, and public holidays.
CSV holiday import — imported dates are treated as non-working days.
Locale-aware week-start on the capacity calendar.
The new Capacity Report
Flow metrics: cycle time, throughput, and WIP per team on a dedicated dashboard.
Workload by assignee with direct links out to Jira JQL searches.
Transparent math: click the throughput value to see every issue counted.
WIP slack indicators surface underutilized capacity when Capacity Awareness is on.
