Version 2.0.0: Initial release
Version 2.0.0 · Released May 2026 · Jira Cloud. The foundational release — available on the Atlassian Marketplace, no configuration required.
Version 2.0.0 is the foundational release of Advanced Release Planning for Jira Cloud. Built natively on Atlassian Forge, it turns standard Jira tracking into a predictive, data-driven planning engine — pairing a complete probabilistic forecasting engine with an intelligent backlog-prioritization suite and a multi-mode scoping board.
What's new
Predictive, probabilistic forecasting
Data-driven confidence: a Monte Carlo engine runs thousands of simulations over your Jira throughput history to produce reliable P50, P85, and P95 completion dates.
Dynamic burn-up charts: an interactive release burn-up with a clear scope line, ideal trajectory, and projection bands — with zoom, pan, and minimap.
Smart throughput discovery: estimation fields are discovered at runtime and simulation granularity (hours/days/weeks/months) adjusts automatically.
Cold-start resilience: projects with little or no completed history still generate a baseline forecast.
Strategic prioritization intelligence
Built-in frameworks: WSJF, RICE, and Value × Effort scoring.
Interactive scoring drawers: compute weights on the issue card, scoped and filtered to the selected release.
Visual matrix boards: Value × Effort 2×2 and Eisenhower matrix views.
Persistent preferences: your last-used priority lens is remembered per project.
Risk-free scenario planning
Pending-change queue: assignee, estimate, priority, rank, and version edits are staged in a sandbox state.
Unsaved-changes indicator: see exactly what will change before it goes live.
Bulk save or discard: flush a plan to Jira with one confirmation, or roll back safely.
Frictionless board & scope experience
Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
Multi-mode scoping | Toggle MoSCoW, Manual (In/Out), Grouped, and Quadrant modes over the same issue data. |
Inline editing | Update summary, estimate, status, and assignee directly on the card. |
Advanced bulk actions | Select-all, bulk drag-and-drop, and cut-line bars to move groups to the next lane. |
Smart cascading | Splitting or moving a parent cascades scope changes to child issues. |
Layout persistence | Cut-lines, bucket order, and collapse states are saved to your profile. |
Seamless Fix Version lifecycle
Create, select, edit, archive, and release Jira Fix Versions from inside the app.
Filter by "Without release" or by Unreleased / Released / Archived state.
Real-time version progress in header lozenges with issue counts and percentage bars.
Enterprise-grade foundation & security
Built on Atlassian Forge with a custom React front end backed by Forge SQL and KVS — zero external data egress. Scores, layouts, and pending changes stay inside your own Atlassian tenant.
