Enhanced Epic Management, Sleek Editing, and Smooth Drag-and-Drop

Enhanced Epic Management, Sleek Editing, and Smooth Drag-and-Drop

Posted on Mar 31, 2024 · Release: Mar 14th 2024

A large update focused on epic management, inline editing, sprint organization, and dozens of usability and stability fixes.

Epic & backlog management

  • Epic display options — an improved list view hides unwanted Epics when Epic filters are on.

  • Sleek Epic management — option to hide Epics by default for a cleaner canvas.

  • Enhanced Epic visibility — show Epics by default, with new show/hide filters for full control.

  • Epic filter toggling — show or hide the epics on your issues with a single switch; hiding the filter now deactivates it too.

  • Farewell to backlog badges — removed cluttering badges for a cleaner backlog view.

Sprint management

  • Separate sprints from the top and bottom of your list with a right-click; shuffle sprints to the top or bottom of the backlog in a few clicks.

  • Sprint status clarity — sprint headers show issues sorted by status, with new warning badges when something needs attention.

  • Sprint into view — creating a sprint from selected issues now auto-scrolls to show the new sprint.

  • New sprint creation shortcut — create a sprint with a right-click on selected issues.

  • Multi-sprint issue selection — select issues across multiple sprints at once.

  • Vertical redesign — a new "Create Sprint" button next to the sprint selector, plus per-project selection on shared boards.

Editing & workflow

  • Streamlined inline editing — removed unnecessary buttons for a cleaner editor.

  • Inline issue editing — edit issues directly with fewer clicks.

  • Workflow transitions — simplified transitions between statuses.

  • Priority level now editable — adjust task priority on the fly.

  • Team-member prioritization — prioritize team members when delegating work.

  • Customizable views — choose to see priorities, epics, and more at a glance.

  • Priority preview — priorities now appear in the issue preview list, including on subtasks.

Quality & fixes

  • Smooth multi-issue selection without accidental text highlighting.

  • Status-category fix when changing a task's status.

  • Smooth scrolling restored; sticky list pages fixed.

  • Time-estimate indicator widened to fit all details.

  • "Move to" menu no longer offers a non-existent option at the end of a list.

  • Duplicate users no longer appear when sorting.

  • Story points can no longer go below zero.

  • UI polish on summary-text hover; UserPicker stability improved.

  • Subtask/issue refactoring and unification for a snappier experience.

  • Refreshed Atlassian-aligned styles and CSS housekeeping.

  • Personalized, per-app support pages.
